USS Khai Tam Technical Orientation Manual

The USS Khai Tam Technical Orientation Manual is your complete guide to the galaxy’s first jointly designed Federation-Klingon starship. True story this is the “home ship” of the local Star Trek fan club that I belong to, not that they make it easy to find them, they don’t actually mention my home town on their website or facebook group and don’t even mention that they’re a Trek fan group. The international association at the head of the entire organization uses a starship based naming scheme with every group having their own Home Ship, the USS Khai Tam being the name...

Air

Follows the history of sports marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro, and how he led Nike in its pursuit of the greatest athlete in the history of basketball, Michael Jordan. A well enough done story about the rich white guys that got even more rich off the fame of Michael Jordon. It’s not framed like that, with the impression that it’s an underdog story, but it’s clear that while Nike wasn’t the massive company it’s become now, it was still large enough to be in the same game as the top 5 shoe companies. “Extraordinary” Season 1 Review

Jen is a self-aware young woman who lives in a world where everybody except her has a superpower. So much different than what I thought I was in for, but in a fun and good way. The show has a high enough budget and whimsical enough premise that the lack of super heroics in a series about people with super powers isn’t at all noticeable. In fact, like all good shows, this is more about the personal journey than it is about the power set of the main characters. Buy On Amazon!

“Zombie Army 4: Dead War” Review

Hitler’s hordes are back for more in this spine-chilling shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite 4! Abominable occult enemies, epic weapons and a harrowing new campaign for 1-4 players await in 1940s Europe, as you fight to save humankind from undead Armageddon! A barely there story wrapped around a barely there shooting game with uneven game mechanics and wave after wave of singular enemies do not make for a game that I enjoyed. I found nearly the entire game to be unsatisfying for many reasons, but the one that I’m going to pick on in this review is the...

Hurricane Idalia

Thus far we’re doing ok, but my nerves are starting to get a little on edge.  The county has issued mandatory evacuation orders for mobile / manufactured homes, all our local rivers are already cresting near historic peaks, and the storm is still about 10 hours away from actually getting to my small blue dot on the map.  We have all our provisions ready, all our batteries are charged, extra propane has been acquired, and the armory is fully stocked, so we’ll be able to fight off the hurricane gators and sharks that will usually try to sneak into the...

“Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi” Review

The Star Wars saga continues as new heroes and galactic legends go on an epic adventure, unlocking mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past. The only way this movie would end up in my physical collection is if I got it for free, and since the Disney rewards store had it for free that’s how I got it in my physical collection. I had to watch it again to make sure, but yeah I still don’t like 2/3 of the film. All the stuff on the salt planet was pretty ok, but the rest of it was...

“Iron Man: Armored Adventures” Review

A teenage Tony Stark battles evil with his revolutionary power armor technology. I added this to my D+ watch list back in 2022 based solely on some Reddit comments on how “hard” the main theme “slaps”: The theme does indeed go hard for a kid’s cartoon and is catchy enough to remain in my mind rent free for longer than I’m happy to admit. Originally airing back in 2008, both of the seasons are now fully on D+ and complete a full story arc of Tony’s loss of his father to him becoming the super hero we all know him...
