Superman day has come and gone and I spent $50 on a Superman Day version of this book and I have mixed feelings about the final product here. The story is pretty good until the last few pages of resolution and completely dumps all over it’s message in the final panels, but the ride to get there was pretty darn good. The art was amazing and there’s some fun & weird call backs to moments in Superman and Supergirl’s histories that work well in some cases, but completely fall flat in others (the kryptonite sun and Comet the Super-horse, respectively).
I’m unhappy that I spent so much on a book that isn’t going to live in my collection, but i”m happy to have read it.
