The first short story “The Riddled Post”, is a fun story of greed and technology’s unexpected consequences, then there’s an entire uncollected story involving the franchise wide “Gateways” storyline, but this is the follow up to it, so sure hope you’re up to speed! I still enjoyed it for all the goofy kaiju shenanigans it brought to the table. The third story is a great battleships in space style of story with some fantastically claustrophobic elements. The final story is about a planet controlling supercomputer that’s gone wrong and reaches out to Federation tech support for a reboot, which is hilarious on the surface of it, but the way it plays out is pretty fun.
