“Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire” Review
I often wonder if I’m going deaf. This show didn’t help that thought at all.
First one: not really afrofutuistic, they’re goat herders in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and defeat a cybertooth tiger. I could barely understand anything they said, but the music is good and the action is easy enough to follow along.
The second one: I can barely understand what they’re saying, it’s a completely different style of animation and it’s not good at all. This is in a much more modern setting than the first one but still not futuristic setting. They pray to a strange totem. we then somehow get thrown into a pod race in which there are no winners, only fools.
The third one has a bird and a boy, this is the first that feels “futuristic” with a clockwork boy and his companion bird. I understood just about everything they said and the story was solid.
The fourth one is an awesome surfing one, very difficult to understand some of the characters. I love the setting.
Afrofuturistic digital afterlife, I love the concept and the execution, about half the dialogue is just a garbled mess.
I’m going to skip the rest of the episodes, as these first five really had me struggling to understand the characters and about half of them weren’t even futuristic.
