Daredevil: The Director’s Cut

Daredevil: Directed by Mark Steven Johnson. With Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell, Michael Clarke Duncan. A man blinded by toxic waste which also enhanced his remaining senses fights crime as an acrobatic martial arts superhero.

Released in February of 2003, this movie is over 20 years old, and that’s not knowledge that I needed to personally know. I think I saw this in theaters, though I have no records of that…well maybe I might have a ticket in one of my old movie ticket books, I’ll have to check.

Regardless, this is the director’s cut, which is vastly better than whatever it was that I may or may not have seen with more cursing, more darkness, and a more interesting end result. I forgot how heavy they were dropping easter eggs in the first few minutes with about every other name mentioned being prior writers or artists on the Daredevil comics. I had also forgotten that both Joe Pantoliano and Kevin Smith where here too! I was going to be putting this with all my other Stan Lee movies, but now seeing Smith in the film means I’ll have to remember that guy’s in a few comic movies too.
