Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
With season 2 starting up in just a few days, I figured I’d go back through season 1 to remind myself how utterly amazing it ended up being and how big my expectations are for the future of this franchise. It’s a short season with only 10 episodes and there isn’t a single stinker in the whole lot of them. This isn’t the full story of Pike’s Enterprise though, you’d have to go watch a season of Discovery for that, but I wouldn’t suggest it, as there’s a style difference between the two shows, and the Discovery style just never really landed for me.
I think this is the first Trek TV in 4k hdr too and that last episode with the exploded asteroid, I swear they put that on the screen just to show off how many individual pixels they could uniquely animate.
