This Viper Mark I is the first model of the Colonial Viper space fighter line and was also known as the Starhound Class Viper. These small, nimble, single-pilot ships were designed for both atmospheric and space flight and were stationed on Colonial Battlestars, each of which held a squadron of 75. It was introduced to the military service not so long before the First Cylon War as a defensive counterattack against the Cylon Fleet. The ship comes complete with a 16-page collector’s magazine providing an in-depth profile of the ship, exclusive behind the scenes articles, and original design sketches.

The Cylon Baseship was an ominous opponent for Colonial Warriors with its range of powerful weapons, Cylon fleet and shielding capabilities. The double saucer-shaped ship of the Cylon Alliance was a warship of immense proportions, crewed by Centurion troops under the ultimate command of the Imperious leader. The Cylon Raider, also know as the sparrow, is a sleek and deadly Strike Interceptor and the primary attack fighter used by the Cylons. It can speed past its enemies’ ships and hunt down its targets. These new Raiders are cybernetic and capable of being “reborn”, just like the Cylons, into new Raiders after being destroyed. It is made of a complex system of organs, veins and biological fluids inside the main body which enables the “reborn” ability. This provides the Cylons with a distinct tactical advantage in essence that every time a Cylon Raider is destroyed, it is reborn...

This iconic ship appeared in almost every episode of the critically acclaimed 2004 Battlestar Galactica television series. Launched from massive Battlestar ships, the Viper Mark II was instrumental in the first Cylon War. Although it was eventually replaced with a newer model, a squadron of the space superiority fighters remained on board the Battlestar Galactica and was re-activated to defend the Galactica during its four-year journey to Earth.
