A C.I.A. operative on the edge of retirement discovers a family secret and is called back into the field for one last job. Not as good as I was hoping for, but not as bas as it could have been, this is more of a goofy take on the spy genre, with overly goofy call backs to some of Arnold’s prior works and unfortunately doesn’t stand on it’s on well enough for me to recommond. Set in the 1930s, an honest, good-hearted man is forced to turn to a life of crime to finance his neurotic mother’s sky-rocketing medical bills. This is a fun goofy movie that has constant homages to the great gangster films of the past. It came up during a discussion with a Star Trek author a couple weeks ago when they referenced the hilarious game of telephone that happens while the main character is in prison.
