“The Pitt” Review
I’ve always thought that a 15 hour shift at a hospital was ridiculous, dangerous, and irresponsible, but it was a clever gimmick for this show to show an entire shift of a trauma center in Pittsburg. I have it on good authority that while this is a highly realistic series with an amazing attention to detail, the level of activity is more like an entire month’s worth of admissions at a regular hospital condensed down into just 15 hours of a single day. All that action and drama makes for good tv, but I did notice they didn’t show many of the doctors or nurses charting at any time during the show, which is a huge part of being in these types of emergency rooms.
That’s all nitpicky non-sense though, this is a good series and if you’re even remotely interested in medical shows, this is one to check out.
