Cats on boxes and forgotten flowers
Odo enjoying a large box. A huge box. What’s in the box? diapers and wipes!
A year or two ago I bought my wife some flowers, then when we were done enjoying them inside I planted them outside. They came back! I had hopes this would happen, but really didn’t have the expectation that they actually would.
Not pictured here: me being as tired as a person could be. The only person I know that’s more tired than me right now is my wife, who’s been staying at home with the kid while she uses her maternity leave. It’s unfortunate that I wasn’t able to stay at home with them longer than I have, I think that we’d rather have her at work and me at home, but alas, that isn’t how it’s able to happen. I’m not going to be posting too many pictures of my kid on this, a public website, but we’ve settled into a routine of sorts. Mom stays home with him, I go off to work, then when my work day is done I come home and have bath time with the kid, feed him, then put him to bed. We actually had our first 6 hour sleep stretch last night, I checked him a few times just to be sure he was still doing ok. Today was a little rough for him due to all that sleep I though, he was somewhat more fussy than normal.
I’m not exceptionally looking forward to the end of the month, that’s when he’s starting day care. Our schedules are going to be all in the air again and it hurts my soul to be in a place where someone else is raising my kid and gets to spend more time than I do with him. Until I become independently wealthy though, this is the way it has to be.
