“Lazarus” Review

Lazarus: Created by Shin’ichirô Watanabe. With Mamoru Miyano, Makoto Furukawa, Maaya Uchida, Yuma Uchida. In 2052, an emergency task force is assembled when a miracle cure is hijacked for purging populations.

The concept is a good one, the animation is top notch, the music is fantastic, but somehow all the perfect pieces didn’t come together to make a superior product at the end of the day. I think my main complaint is how silly nearly ever detour was that the team took, every one of the felt like padding to a story that was relatively straight to the point and could have been happily resolved in 3 episodes instead of the nearly dozen it took.
