“Wonder Man” Review
It’s difficult to explain how much I enjoyed this show, but I hesitate to really pump it up. It’s not going to be for everyone and if you’ve really really enjoyed the standard MCU movie format of 2 hours of moderatly interesting plot followed by 45-60 minutes of a cgi battle for the third art, this isn’t going to be your jam. I think there’s maybe 4 scenes with super powers and they’re not really the main focus of this story. What is the main point of this series is a literally love letter to Hollywood and the struggle that people go through to find acceptance in a world that has little time for them. It’s a shockingly heartfelt bromance that has some of the best cinematography of any MCU project to date. To be clear, I love it because of how artsy fartsy it ends up being, so if you’ve wanting to see what a true arthouse MCU project can look like, here it is.
