This is a great novelization of the stories in those episodes but has nothing at all to do with the first book in this series. Now that I’ve finished this one and started the third book I see their going back and forth between the original story with the TNG crew doing stuff and the DS9 stories that we all know and love from the TV series and I have to say that I dislike this completely and wouldn’t suggest reading these in the order that they suggest reading them in. I’d say you should read 2&4 first, then 1&3, but what do I know.
