Amazon trashed my Batman Animated Series limited edition collector’s set

Oh amazon, never change! I returned this twice, the third time it finally came in a box, but man, why the fuck would they want to send it in a bag of all things? Also, the digital code only redeemed the episodes, not the movies included and the four seasons it DID redeem were in SD, not HD, which was the whole reason I bought this set.

Amazon Prime Video still needs some TLC

Amazon had the new Doctor Who series for only $3! but then didn’t tell anyone that it was going to be on a 24 hour delay, so I just found a stream online and watched it that way. Additionally the Amazon Prime app has no functional way to see what television episodes I own but have not watched. Hulu used to have this back in the day, but that was 10 years ago, so I’m sure they don’t even have that high tech system any more.

Michael becomes a hurricane as it heads to US

MIAMI (AP) – The Latest on Tropical Storm Michael (all times local):   This is heading my way and we’re already seeing gas stations and grocery stores shutting down due to lack of product. My car is on E. I just painted one of my rooms at my house, so everything from that room is all spread around the rest of my house, so tonight I’m going to be moving everything back to where it needs to be, quickly, but my back and feet are still hurting from a 13k step day on friday then all the painting and moving...

Star Trek Ten Forward Vodka

This is not good vodka and gave me a blistering headache the day after I sipped on about 4 ounces. It’s supposedly been flown into space, but there’s no pictures from the endeavor, so I’m going to assume that’s just BS marketing fluff. The bottle is VERY pretty though, so this will look very lovely in my display case.

This new G-Mail interface is trash.

There’s not much to like about the new Gmail interface, it’s slower than the one I had a week ago, it takes up more space (even with the ‘compact’ mode), and none of the themes works. How did google fuck up such an easy thing? don’t change shit that works. Suggestions on programs to use instead of the gmail web interface?

The end of paper tickets for movies

I’m going to admit, this is going to be a whiny post about technology moving forever forward and leaving nostalgia behind. I’ve always enjoyed going to the movies, and I enjoy it even more going alone, watching a movie is definitely not something that requires someone you know to participate in, especially now that the internet has so many people on it, I’m never at a loss when I try to find someone else that’s just watched a movie that just came out, or even just watched a movie that came out 40 years ago that I also just watched....

Surprising no one, Comcast is still incompetent and deceitful

Comcast just emailed me a courtesy reminder that I’m about to hit my bandwidth limit. To which I reply, my what? you didn’t mention that at all when signing me up, and 1tb seems…low. They have a page that shows all sorts of incorrect download stats, hilariously so when ti comes to streaming movies, they say I could watch streams for 21 hours a day for the entire month and not hit the limit, but i’m pretty sure I’m using about 10gigs an hour with the 4k streams that I’m using.
