In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and little-known unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must transport an asset (Iko Uwais) who has vital information to an airfield for extraction before the enemy closes in. Also starring Lauren Cohan, Rhonda Rousey, and John Malkovich, this film is “loaded with edge of your seat action” (Steve Weintraub, Collider).
You know that feeling you get when an obviously out of place guest star shows up in a movie and it’s weird the entire time they’re on screen? That’s what this entire movie is. There’s some big names here, Marky Mark, John Malkovich, “Rowdy” Rousey and Iko Uwais, who was really the only one that really did a great job in the whole ordeal. Mark Walberg in particular seemed to be playing a fast talking Alan Sorkin style character but just feels like he’s coked up the entire movie.
